Step-By-Step Instructions for Obtaining a Spouse Visa 

Once your spouse lands in Dubai with a visit visa, you can start off by applying for a resident visa for your spouse. Make sure to have all the required documents in hand before you apply for a resident visa in the UAE to avoid the last-minute hassle. Given below is the process that you can check out.

Step #6: To get approval at the GDRFA, you will have to submit the typed residence UAE visa application, entry permit, and medical certificate along with all the other documents. 

Residence Visa’s Validity And Renewal 

The residence visa in Dubai is generally valid for two years, while the renewal of the visa is subjected to similar conditions as those of fresh visas. 

The spouse’s residence permit is linked to the sponsoring expatriate employee’s residence permit. If the sponsoring expatriate’s visa is canceled, the dependent visas will also be canceled at the same time. A 30-day grace period is granted to the dependents from the date of expiry or cancellation of their visa in order to obtain a new residence permit. 

If the dependent’s visa is not renewed or canceled by the employee, the dependents will automatically be liable to pay a fine. Not only this but they will also be deemed, illegal residents.
